Rugby Sevens in Dubai, an Action Packed Event
The 38th Dubai Rugby Sevens was held from 27 to 29 November 2008. Some Teams that have participated include the Arab Gulf, Argentina, Australia, England, Fiji, France, Kenya, New Zealand, Portugal, Samoa, Scotland, Africa South, United States of America, Wales and Zimbabwe. 2008 Dubai Rugby Sevens tournament is important since the Dubai Rugby Sevens has been moved a newly built place Sevens "The Sevens rugby stadium in September Previously, the Dubai Rugby Sevens was held at the Dubai Exiles Rugby Ground. The end of the Dubai Rugby Sevens 2008 was marked by a "Rugby Rock" together with the experience of Tom Jones.
The Dubai Rugby Sevens has started with a group of British expatriates in Dubai. They had acquired a small piece of land in Bur Dubai with the help of municipalities Dubai in the year 1966. The establishment of posts, marking positions, land leveling, to be filed, all this was done by the founding members of the club. The club that was formed was called the Exiles Club. After many obstacles that members had to go through, finally, their dream became reality. Some land was awarded to the club by the Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum. And if the first Dubai Rugby Sevens has been launched 1969.
The tournament is now transformed into an action packed, mega-event. With many add on features to be greeted with the Rugby Sevens in Dubai. Three days of beautiful rugby, ended with a concert Rock Rugby. A stay at a hotel in Dubai would be worthwhile.
